Pro Bono Work

Financial Fundamentals is committed to volunteerism and community service.  We partner with select organizations in our community to provide free access to professional financial education and guidance.  We offer these free services every month on an ongoing basis.  We target partnerships that can benefit lower income families in the community.

Current Pro Bono Efforts

Free Financial Coaching Sessions at the New Bedford Free Public Library

Every month we offer free financial coaching sessions at the main branch of the New Bedford Free Public Library.  Anyone in the community can sign up for a free and private 20-minute session.  All financial questions, challenges, or goals are welcome.  Registration is required; call the reference desk at 508-991-6278 to book an appointment.

Free Money Management Program at Coastline Elderly Services in New Bedford

Every month we volunteer with the Money Management Program, a collaborative effort between Coastline, AARP Massachusetts, and the State of Massachusetts. The MMP connects older adults with a volunteer who helps them budget their money and pay their bills to ensure they avoid debt and other financial hardships. The volunteer helps elders organize their bills, create budgets, write checks, and monitor their income and expenses.  To receive assistance from the MMP you must be age 60 or older and meet income guidelines.  Call 508-742-9113 to sign up.
