About Financial Fundamentals
Stephen Barkhuff is Founder and President of Financial Fundamentals, LLC. He launched Financial Fundamentals in 2014 in order to provide lower income families with affordable access to a skilled financial professional who is committed to helping them achieve their financial goals.
Stephen grew up in modest circumstances and learned valuable financial lessons from his family, friends, and neighbors. Interested in finance from an early age, he went on to earn an MBA with concentration in finance from The Wharton School, and later became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.
He is a personal finance professional who has worked in the financial services industry since 2000. For several years he served wealthy families in positions at Bank of America and Fidelity Investments, but wanted to pursue a new path that would honor his upbringing and enable him to help families with modest incomes. Stephen has lived in Brewster, MA since 2021 and is happily married to his wife Sarah. In his free time he enjoys playing the guitar, motorcycling, and travelling with his wife and standard poodle, Sky.
